Further Activities
Maseda was selected as a top student at Tokyo University of the Arts and performed with the Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra, Tokyo. She has also performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Danube Symphony Orchestra in Hungary, and the Kraków State Philharmonic in Poland.
Maseda is a scholarship recipient of the Aoyama Music Foundation in the fiscal year 2018.
She has been performing in a wide range of activities, including well-received recitals with her talk about featured music pieces, chamber music performances, piano accompaniment, piano parts in orchestral works, and Tchaikovsky’s complete symphonies for 2 pianos. She also teaches younger generations and won PTNA (PIANO TEACHERS’ NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of Japan)’s special instructor award in 2025.
Repertoire
Maseda has established reputations for music works written by Russian and the Former Soviet Union’s composers such as Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Khachaturian, and Babajanian; however, she has been working on various music works regardless of nationalities and eras. Especially, she is familiar with descriptive style of works such as Mussorgsky’s “Tableaux d’une exposition,” Tchaikovsky’s “Les saisons,” and Ravel’s “Miroirs.” In addition to solo and concerto works, she has many repertoire for ensembles and vocal music accompaniments (vocal pieces, operas).
