How to use our facilities (at our temporary office)

The Tokyo Bunka Kaikan is closed for major renovations.
During the building closure, the Music Library is open at the temporary office (the nearest train station: Yurikamome Line, Telecom Center Station).
Booking is required to use the library.

How to use the library
- Booking is required to use the library. Please make a reservation using the reservation form or by telephone. (You can reserve up to two weeks ahead, through the same day of the week.)
* Elementary school students must be accompanied by a caregiver. Pre-school children are not permitted to enter.
* Even when using the library as a group, please make a reservation for each person.This reservation form accepts submissions at any time.

- We issue a registration card (valid for 2 years). If this is your first visit, please bring identification that can verify your name and address (e.g., a driver’s license).
- If you already have a registration card, please remember to bring it with you.
Viewing and listening to materials

You can access our books, sheet music, magazines, and other similar materials. You can also listen to CDs and watch DVDs. However, as we are currently located at a temporary office, some materials may be unavailable for use while undergoing repair or catalog data registration and organization.
* LPs and LDs are not available for viewing or listening. Also, performance program booklets are currently unavailable while they are being organized.
* Hold requests for materials are not available.
* These materials are available for in-library use only and cannot be checked out.
Photocopy services:
- Photocopies of the stored materials can be made to the extent allowed under the copyright laws and the rules of our facility.
- Cost: 30 Yen per copy on A3, B4, A4, and B5 format sheets (only black and white)
- You may not duplicate the listening materials.

- Please do ask our desk staff when you have any questions.
- For questions about our collection or music materials, please contact us by telephone or through the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan inquiry form.
- We respond to inquiries only on days when the library is open. Please note that response times may vary depending on the content of your inquiry.

Please note the following when using the library:
- No food or beverage may be consumed inside the library.
- We ask that you refrain from using our facilities for purposes other than viewing and listening to our materials, such as touring the facility, resting, or studying.
