Further Activities

Kaneko has performed in solo recitals and joint recitals in Japan as well as participating as an orchestra member in events such as the Chofu International Music Festival and the Kirishima International Music Festival Kagoshima.

Repertoire

Kaneko studies a wide variety of music from Baroque to modern to contemporary. Her repertoire includes concertos by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Bach (specifically his 1st), Mozart (his 3rd), and Wieniawski (his 2nd). For sonatas, she works on pieces by Beethoven, Brahms, and Bartók (his 2nd). In addition to these works, she is proficient in virtuoso pieces, including those by Paganini and Wieniawski, as well as unaccompanied pieces like the Sonatas for Solo Violin by Ysaÿe and solo works by Ernst. Beyond solo performances, Kaneko also actively practices chamber music, which includes duos, trios, and quartets.
