Musical Study Experiences

Began learning cello from 5 years of age and spent his childhood in Barcelona, Spain
2010- Studied as a Special Scholarship Student at Toho Gakuen the Music School for Children (Sengawa School)
2011 Entered Toho Gakuen Music High School as a full tuition waiver student
2012 Participated as a scholarship student in the Great Mountain Music Festival taking lessons from Toby Appel, Todd Phillips, Frans Helmerson and Lluis Claret
Participated as a scholarship student in Ishikawa Music Academy taking lessons from Mori Hakuro and Jian Wang
Currently special scholarship student at Toho Gakuen Music High School


Previously studied under Baba Shoichi, Iñaki Etxepare and currently studies under Mori Hakuro; also studied chamber music under Mori Hakuro, Harada Koichiro, and Fujii Kazuoki

Musical Careers

2004 1st Place for both Solo and Chamber Music Categories, the 9th Arujau Cataluña Young Musicians Competition
2005 1st Place (Silver Prize), Primary School Category, the 5th Izuminomori Junior Cello Contest
2006 1st Place, Strings Category, Middle School Division, the 8th Japan Player's Competition
2007 Performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra led by Otomo Naoto in the 22nd Kodomo Teiki Ensokai (Regular Concert for Children) hosted by the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra & Suntory Hall
2008 2nd Place (Top Prize), Strings Category, the 18th Japan Classical Music Competition
2009 Won 1st Place for the first time ever for Japanese contestants in Cello Category, the 6th Tchaikovsky for Young Musicians International Music Competition
Appeared in Korea’s KBS TV "Classic Odyssey"
Performed with the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra led by Numajiri Ryusuke in "Daimei no nai Ongakukai (Untitled Concert): "Great Talents of the Future"
2010 1st Place, the Embassy of Romania Special Jury Award, and the Romanian Radio Culture Department award at the 6th Romania International Music Competition
2011 2nd Place, Cello Category, High School Division, the 65th Student Music Concours of Japan
Won the Ishikawa Music Academy IMA Music Award
Won the 1st Foundation for Youth Award from the Iwatani Tokiko Foundation
2012 2nd Place, String Section, the 10th Tokyo Music Competition


I have a wide range of repertoire regardless of era, style or country from Baroque to contemporary.
