Audio sensory enhanced seats |
This performance provides audio sensory enhanced seats, which enables physical sensation from sound converted into vibration, so that the audience with hearing impairment and their families and caregivers can sit together to enjoy music.
Body-sensible acoustic device “Bodysonic” Seats (about 20 seats) The seat is equipped with a set of pouch and seat cushion installed with a vibrating device. By transferring vibration to the user’s body, the device assists the user with hearing impairment, including those with hearing loss wearing hearing aids or those with adventitious deafness, to enjoy music with the whole body along with sounds perceived from headphones and hearing loops. Those with congenital deafness can enjoy music with only the vibration provided by the device.
Huggable Speaker “HugMe” (about 40 seats) The device is a pillow-sized and weighed speaker with a body-sensible vibrating system installed. In addition to the sound of instruments, it sends users the same vibration that the performer physically feels when they play the instruments. Therefore, persons with a hearing impairment can feel the sound and melody with their bodies. |
