Program

What kind of jobs are there for an opera performance? Let’s try a one-day hands-on experience working backstage at the real site!


 


• What participants will experience


Taking tickets, handing out program booklets, accepting flowers for performers, backstage visit including lighting operation, sound operation, dressing rooms, and more


* Participants must bring their lunch as there will be a lunch break.


* Viewing the performance Team Up for Opera! Amahl and the Night Visitors is included from 15:00 to 16:30.

* Participants will be determined by lot if the number of applications exceeds the limit.

⁃ The application is valid only once per family. Applying as a group of friends is not accepted.


⁃ You will receive the notification of application completion by email once you submit the form. To ensure that you receive emails from us, please add the domain “@t-bunka.jp” to the whitelist such as approved sender list you have enabled on your email setting.


⁃ The acceptance/rejection notification will be sent by email in late August. If you do not receive the notification email after Tue, Sep 1, please contact us.


⁃ The application will not be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please Note:
* This workshop is conducted only in Japanese.
* Caregivers are required to purchase tickets if they wish to attend the opera performance. Please note that we cannot arrange seats next to the workshop participants.
* We do not answer any inquiries on the result of drawing lots.
* Caregivers are not allowed to stay with the participants during the workshop class.
* The program is subject to change under certain circumstances.

About Next Creation Program

The Next Creation Program is an experience-based arts and culture program targeted at children undertaken by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture. Young participants can receive guidance from leading professionals in various fields, engaging in hands-on creative experiences tailored to their interests. This approach enables them to learn at a deeper and more advanced level. Understanding and nurturing the children’s dreams in the arts and culture and their personalities, the program aims to help develop thriving talents.
