This popular program is linked to the Team Up for Opera!, giving young people challenges to create a full-scale opera.

Let’s create crafts related to an opera production! The participants will be invited to the dress rehearsal on Sat, Oct 3 at the Tamashin RISURU Hall (Tachikawa Civic Hall). Also, their works created at the workshop will be used as part of the stage set of the performance.

Ornaments for curtains to be used on the stage, and treasures featured in the story

• Presentation of the workshop results will be at:

⁃ the dress rehearsal viewing on Sat, Oct 3

⁃ the exhibition of created crafts on the performance day on Sun, Oct 4

* Participating in only the dress rehearsal viewing is not allowed. (The dress rehearsal viewing is free of charge.)

* One companion per participant is invited to the dress rehearsal viewing. Pre-school children are not allowed to attend the rehearsal.

* This dress rehearsal is for of Team Up for Opera! Amahl and the Night Visitors (Tachikawa Performance).

On-Site Visit for the Opera Performance “Hands-On Experience of Working as Ushers and Backstage Team” (Application period: Wed, Jul 15, 12:00-Mon, Aug 17, 15:00)

Participants will be determined by lot if the number of applications exceeds the limit.

⁃ The acceptance/rejection notification will be sent by email in late July. Please contact us if you do not receive the notification email after Fri, Jul 24.

⁃ We do not answer any inquiries on the result of drawing lots.

⁃ The application will not be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Next Creation Program is an experience-based arts and culture program targeted at children undertaken by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture.
