About “ratatap”

Created by: KANEBAKO Junichi

Cooperation: INOKUCHI Hiroki (RED GEEK PICTURES INC.), YOSHIDA Shinya (MontBlanc Pictures Co.,Ltd.)

Released: 2015

“ratatap” is one of the accessible musical instruments invented by the musical interface scientist KANEBAKO Junichi. It is an installation that makes the sound of instruments visible, allowing as many players as you want to join at the same time. The design was conceived from the potential of media arts. Which is an idea that experiences become universal regardless of disability by making invisible things visible and diverse. The feature visually enhances the world of sounds with a character “Otodama-kun” popping out from where a sound is made on the interface, and “Dekadama-kun” appearing and chasing Otodama-kun when two players make a sound at the same time.
