We received information from Peatix Japan Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Peatix Japan) that unauthorized third-party access to personal information (name, email address, encoded password, etc.) had occurred and the information had been improperly obtained through Peatix Japan’s service Peatix (https://peatix.com).

The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) has been selling tickets on consignment through Peatix for certain performances and workshops presented by or related to the Foundation. Currently, however, the Foundation has not received any information from Peatix Japan that the personal data for the Foundation-related events had leaked.

Therefore, whether the data breach concerning the Foundation had occurred or not will be investigated, and information will be updated once the case is found.

We sincerely apologize to all our patrons who have attended the Foundation-related events for any inconvenience this may have caused. 
We, including our outsourcing contractors, will endeavor to ensure that personal information protection is managed safely.
