Workshop for Mai Kyo Shi Pastoral—Dance, Beat, Sign
Te-kotoba Team

Beethoven is known for his sincere love of nature.
Inspired by his Sixth Symphony, “Pastoral,” we are excited to announce a new stage production!
We invite participants for te-kotoba (hand signs) team to join us on stage.
Let’s express the images we observe in nature, such as birds, the scent of the wind, and the light of the sky, with “te-kotoba,” hand signs based on Japanese Sign Language.

• Venue

FSX Hall (Kunitachi Community Arts Center) and other venues
* Caregivers of the 4th grade or younger elementary school students must pick-up/drop-off their children at the venue.

* It is preferable to be able to attend all the scheduled rehearsal dates.
* All workshop programs will be conducted with sign language interpretation (Japanese-Japanese Sign Language)

• Eligibility

3rd Grade Elementary School–3rd Grade High School Students with following conditions
⁃ Those who are deaf or hard of hearing
⁃ Those who are interested in expressing oneself physically and through sign languages

• Presentation of the workshop results

The participants will appear on the stage of Mai Kyo Shi Pastoral—Dance, Beat, Sign on Sun, Nov 23.

⁃ You will receive the notification of application completion by email once you submit the form. To ensure that you receive emails from us, please add the domain “@t-bunka.jp” to the whitelist such as approved sender list you have enabled on your email setting.
⁃ The acceptance/rejection notification will be sent by email in early July. Please contact us if you do not receive any notification after Mon, Jul 14.
⁃ Those who are eligible for this program can also apply for Dance Team and Percussion Team. However, applicants can apply for only one of them.
