Next Creation Program
Team Up for Opera!—Perform the Opera Characters: “Singing, Instrumental Ensemble, and Acting”

Let’s perform in an opera joining the workshop! This program will help participants develop their communication skills and refine their sensibilities, creating an opera production with leading musicians and planners.

1st Grade Elementary School–3rd Grade High School Students

• Venue
Tamashin RISURU Hall (Tachikawa Civic Hall) and other venues
* Caregivers of the 4th grade or younger elementary school students must pick-up/drop-off their children at the venue.

• Schedule
Schedule (PDF: only in Japanese)
* It is preferable to be able to attend all the scheduled rehearsal dates.

• Presentation of the workshop results
The participants will appear on the stage of Team Up for Opera! Naita Aka Oni—The Red Ogre in Tears on Mon, Sep 15.

• Maximum number of participants
Approx. 30
* Participants will be determined by lot if the number of applications exceeds the limit.

• How to apply
Application Form (The form is only in Japanese. The link will be available once the application opens.)

⁃ For measuring the head circumference, please measure around the head as the red line in the following image.

⁃ You will receive the notification of application completion by email once you submit the form. To ensure that you receive emails from us, please add the domain “@t-bunka.jp” to the whitelist such as approved sender list you have enabled on your email setting.
⁃ One application is valid per person.
⁃ The acceptance/rejection notification will be sent by email in early July.
⁃ Participants will be notified by mail with enclosed information on paying the participation fee. Please process the payment following the information. Those who are not accepted will be notified by email. Please contact us if you do not receive any notification after Thu, Jul 10.
⁃ Those who are eligible for this program can also apply for “Team Up for Opera!—Create Props for the Opera Stage: ‘Crafts Making’.” (Venue: Tamashin RISURU Hall [Sat, Aug 2])

* Participants may use their own clothes as a part of the costumes they wear on stage.
* Participants may be asked to attend additional rehearsals depending on their roles.

The Next Creation Program is an experience-based arts and culture program targeted at children undertaken by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture. Young participants can receive guidance from leading professionals in various fields, engaging in hands-on creative experiences tailored to their interests. This approach enables them to learn at a deeper and more advanced level. Understanding and nurturing the children’s dreams in the arts and culture and their personalities, the program aims to help develop thriving talents.
