2008 Entered the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts
Currently studying at the Department of piano at Tokyo University of the Arts

1998 Performed in the JOC International Concert hosted by Yamaha
2003 Performed in the Kawakami Genichi Memorial Concert hosted by Yamaha
2004 Performed in the JOC International Concert hosted by Yamaha
2006 Attended Le stage á Paris en printemps (the piano training courses organized by Hata Haruhi); studied under Anne Queffélec, Henri Barda and Hata Haruhi;
performed in the final concert;
2nd Place (Top Prize), Piano Section, the 4th Tokyo Music Competition
2007 Performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the New Japan Philharmonic led by Umeda Toshiaki;
performed in the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Morning Concert vol.12 Russia
2008 Performed Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 with the New Japan Philharmonic led by Hirokami Junichi;
performed in Saito Kazuya Piano Recital at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan hosted by the Unifem Tokyo;
3rd Place and CALZADOS DE LUJO G. B. BRAVO Prize in the 9th International piano competition "Spanish composers" (Las Rozas de Madrid, Spain)
2009 October: Finalist, Piano Category, the Long Thibaud Crespin International Competition and won the Prix de Madame Gaby Pasquier playing Fauré
2010 Held Saito Kazuya Piano Recital on June 30th in Yamanashi Prefecture; on August 3rd performed in the Yatsugatake Hokuto International Music Festival 2010 and held the well received Chopin and Schumann Birthday 200th Anniversary Recital;
held “Kazuya Saito Piano Récital” on August 9th in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, France;
2nd Place (top prize), the 5th BSI Concours de Piano "Virtuoses du futur” 2010 (Crans-Montana, Switzerland) in August,
3rd Place, Piano Category, the 79th Music Competition of Japan 2010

Further Activities

Member of Nikikai
In 2006, 2007, 2008, attended Le stage á Paris en printemps; studied under Anne Queffélec, Henri Barda and Hata Haruhi; performed in the final concert. Actively participating in the chamber music performance and outreach concert. Since April 2010, he is a scholarship recipient of Yamaha Music Foundation's Scholarship Program.
