Program

This popular program is linked to the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Opera BOX, giving challenges for young people to create a full-scale opera.


Let’s create crafts related to an opera production by joining the “Crafts Making” workshop! Not only will the participants be invited to the dress rehearsal of the Opera BOX at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recital Hall on Sep 14, but also their works will be exhibited in the Recital Hall’s foyer on the day of the performance!

• Presentation of the workshop results will be at:


⁃ the dress rehearsal viewing on Sat, Sep 14


⁃ the exhibition of created crafts


* Participating in only the dress rehearsal viewing is not allowed. (The dress rehearsal viewing is free of charge.)


* One companion per participant is invited to the dress rehearsal viewing. Pre-school children are not allowed to attend the rehearsal.


* We may use certain parts of created works for the actual props and as the stage set of the performance.


* This dress rehearsal is for the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Opera BOX: Tosca.

⁃ The application is valid only once per family. Applying as a group of friends is not accepted.


⁃ You will receive the notification of application completion by email once you submit the form. To ensure that you receive emails from us, please add the domain “@t-bunka.jp” to the whitelist such as approved sender list you have enabled on your email setting.


⁃ Those who are eligible for this program can also apply for “Let’s Create Opera!—Perform the Opera Characters: ‘Chorus and Acting.'” (Participants will be determined by lot if the number of applications exceeds the limit.)


⁃ The acceptance/rejection notification will be sent by email in early July. Please contact us if you do not receive the notification email by Fri, Jul 19.


⁃ We do not answer any inquiries on the result of drawing lots.


⁃ The application will not be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.


Other Information

* This workshop is conducted only in Japanese.
* Caregivers are not allowed to stay with the participants during the workshop class.
* The program is subject to change under certain circumstances.
