Story |
There is a big tree that was planted when a girl was born. The girl and the tree grow up together. However, while the girl ages and eventually passes away, the tree continues to live on for generations. It exists in a different time frame than humans, standing in one place without moving and watching over the humans and the history of the place where it stands. The voices and lives of the animals that gather around the tree, including insects and birds; those of the local people and their ordinary days. Some people intend to cut the tree down to pave a road, while others start wars that ultimately destroy them. And yet … This is the world that the long-lived tree gazes upon. |
