Support for Emerging Musicians Global Career Development Tokyo Bunka Kaikan & Chelsea Music Festival Collaborative Concerts

The Chelsea Music Festival, founded in 2010 by Ken-David MASUR and Melinda LEE MASUR, is the annual music festival based in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The idea of an international exchange program for emerging musicians between the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and the Chelsea Music Festival was inspired and led to its launch by the chamber opera performance “Four Nights of Dream” in 2017, conducted by Ken-David MASUR, as an international co-production of the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and the Japan Society.
In this collaboration concert, we have invited two musicians who have performed at the Chelsea Music Festival this year: Max TAN (Violin) and Robert FLEITZ (Piano). And two Tokyo Music Competition prizewinners, SASANUMA Tatsuki (Cello) and KOHÁN István (Clarinet) will join them.
