【Music Library】User Guide after Reopening (July 1 onwards)

Kindly be informed that the Music Library will reopen by limiting some services from Wednesday, June 10, taking necessary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, as we as following the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan’s general precautions.

Regarding the regulations after reopening, please refer to the below “User Guide (June 10, 2020 onwards for the time being).”

On visiting the library, please follow the below measures against  COVID-19. Your understanding and cooperation are much appreciated.
Check your temperature at home before visiting the library. When you enter the library, we will ask you at the reception if you have checked your health condition. (The temperature screening will not be conducted at the entrance of the library from Wednesday, July 1.)
Wear a face mask in the library.
Strictly follow the precautions against infectious diseases such as washing and disinfecting your hands frequently.
⁃ As a general rule, our staff members wear a face mask when providing services. Some of them also wear other personal protective equipment such as gloves.
⁃ Acrylic sneeze guards are installed at the reception desk.
If a case of COVID-19 infection is confirmed, we may provide the governmental authorities with information you fill in the slips for requesting books to view.
⁃ Coin lockers are not available.
⁃ Seats for reading and data search computers have been reduced. We ask that you show consideration for other users.
 You can save your time at the library if you search the materials that you would like to view in advance.

⁃ The materials after being used will be stored and isolated for a certain period. The materials in isolation cannot be viewed as a general rule.

User Guide (June 10, 2020 onwards for the time being)

  • Service Hours (One-time entry permitted up to 5 users for 2.5-hour time slot, 2 time slots per day)
  1. 11:30–14:00 (Photocopy request accepted until 13:00)
  2. 14:30–17:00 (Photocopy request accepted until 16:00)

*We ask that users leave the library after every time-slot ends for the disinfection and ventilation.

  • Advance reservation by telephone: Reservations for June will be accepted from Tuesday, June 9.

Visitors without reservations might not be able to enter the library. Please make sure to book for the visit if you want to ensure that you can enter the library.

    Viewing and photocopying materials (The number of categories and materials you can view at a time is limited.)
    Books, sheet music, performance leaflets, liner notes of CDs and LPs: Up to 5 items per person
    Magazines: Up to 12 items (12-month issues) per person

 

  • Services remaining closed
    ⁃ Viewing and listening to audio and video materials (at AV Room)
    ⁃ Listening to recordings on the Naxos Music Library and the Historical Recordings Collection
    ⁃ Open-stack space
    ⁃ Listening Room
