We are excited to announce that as part of the Festival de l’Intemporel, launched to take place this autumn to bring together classical and contemporary music; the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan will be hosting exclusive masterclasses for solo and chamber ensembles. The instructors will be Les Volques String Trio, made up of members from the prestigious French orchestra Les Siècles, and Philippe MANOURY, a renowned contemporary music composer representing France.
The target participants are emerging musicians including Tokyo Music Competition prizewinners. We look forward to your application. (Both classes are conducted in French. French to Japanese and Japanese to French consecutive interpretation is provided.)

Repertoire: One piece freely chosen from string trios or quartets

>>Masterclass with Philippe MANOURY
Repertoire: Select from the designated Philippe MANOURY’s pieces for Piano, Violin, Viola, Flute, and String Quartet.
＊ Participants who will complete the Masterclass with Philippe MANOURY will have an opportunity to perform at the Festival de l’Intemporel Panel featuring Philippe MANOURY.
