Let's Create Opera!—Create Props for the Opera Stage: Crafts Making

This popular program is linked to the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Opera BOX, giving kids the challenge to create a full-scale opera.
Let’s create props and ornaments for an opera stage, joining the “Crafts Making” workshop! Which will be an exciting opportunity to experience an important process for set designing.
Not only will the participants have a chance to have their craftworks appear on the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Opera BOX stage, they will also see the dress rehearsal, getting involved in the stage creation process.

Venue: Musashino Swing Hall (2-minute walk from Musashi-Sakai Station, JR Chūō Line)
* Each class completes in one time. Please select one from [1]–[4].

• Ages
Elementary School Students
* Caregivers of the 4th grade or younger elementary school students must pick-up/drop-off their children at the venue.

• Presentation of the workshop results
At the dress rehearsal viewing on Sat, Sep 24
* Participating in only the dress rehearsal viewing is not allowed. (The dress rehearsal viewing is free of charge.)
* One companion per participant is invited to the dress rehearsal viewing. Pre-school children are not allowed to attend the rehearsal.
* We will use certain parts of created works as the stage set of the performance.
* This dress rehearsal is for the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Opera BOX: L’Enfant et les Sortilèges.

* Participants will be determined by lot if the number of applications exceeds the limit.

• Participation fee
550yen per class
* Please pay by cash at check-in on the workshop day.

• Application period
Thu, May 12, 10:00–Fri, Jun 24, 18:00 (The result will be notified in mid-July.)

• How to apply
Application Form (The form is only in Japanese.) The application has been closed.

⁃ One application is valid per person.
⁃ You will receive the notification of application completion by email once you submit the form. To ensure that you receive emails from us, please add the domain “@t-bunka.jp” to the whitelist such as approved sender list you have enabled them on your email setting.
⁃ Those who are eligible for this program can also apply for “Let’s Create Opera!—Perform the Opera Characters: Chorus and Acting.” (Participants will be determined by lot if the number of applications exceeds the limit.)
⁃ The result notification will be sent by email in mid-July. If you do not receive the notification email on Mon, Jul 25 or later, please contact us.
⁃ We do not answer to any inquiries on the result of drawing lots for choosing participants.
