Let's Create Opera!—Learn the entire production: Direction, Stage management, Costumes, Lighting, and Production

An exciting workshop for creating an opera for the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Opera Box with professional creators. The participants can get involved from the initial preparation.

Ages 18-25 years old (Shall be consulted if the applicant is younger or older than the qualified ages)
- University or College students
- Those who study set designs or arts management
- Those who aim to become set designers, stage creators, or music-related technical staffs
Applicant Eligibility You must participate during the whole period from the initial preparation through the actual performance date.

Application Procedure

How to apply
  1. Download the application formPDF on this page and fill out the form.
  2. Send the form by post to the below address with a replying Choukei #3 envelope (120 x 235 mm), with your name and address filled in and 94yen stamp attached.
  3. The result notification will be sent by post to all the applicants. We do not answer to any inquiries on the result by telephone.
  4. Please process the payment following the notification attached with the result only sent to the participants.
* Please note that the documents submitted will not be returned to the applicants.
* Any personal information provided is managed strictly under the privacy policy of the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, and we strictly limit the use to contacting and informing participants for this workshop.
