About Festival de l’Intemporel
In 2024, the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan launched a new project called “Festival de l’Intemporel,” which explores the intersection of classical and contemporary music. This initiative is produced by NODAIRA Ichiro, the music director of the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, who is a composer and pianist.
The third edition of the festival will take place from Wednesday, February 24, 2027, through Monday, March 1, 2027.
The lineup for this season includes the premiere concert of the “Music Creators Development Project—Tokyo & Paris to the NEXT.” This collaborative effort between the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and IRCAM focuses on co-commissioning works by emerging Japanese composers. We invite you to join us for an exciting lineup of events this year under the theme Ondřej ADÁMEK & Dvořák, Rebecca SAUNDERS & Ravel. Our programs include concerts, masterclasses, and a panel discussion, as well as a unique collaboration between contemporary music and silent film, offering a moment that transcends time.
