Please be informed that Tokyo Bunka Kaikan will introduce an assistive device for visual impairments using laser direct retinal projection “RETISSA ON HAND” on a trial basis in the Music Library on the 4th floor from August 27, 2024.
The device is available for browsing materials in the Music Library. 
Please ask the staff members at the Music Library reception desk.
* There is a limit to the number of devices available. 

Notes on using the device
1. There is a limit to the number of devices.
2. We lend them on a first-come, first-served basis for a maximum of two hours per person.
3. Each user has a different retinal projection result depending on the individual condition.

What is RETISSA ON HAND?
RETISSA ON HAND is a hand-held laser direct retinal projection visual aiding device. 
Once you switch it on and peer into the device, images from an integrated camera are projected to the retina with a 60-degree horizontal field of view. 
With a built-in battery, the device can be used wherever there is something you want to see. 
Equal to 7-time magnification allows you to view objects from near to far. 
In addition, there are image adjustments, such as brightness control, grayscale, black-and-white inversion, and pausing.
