Profiles
Mitsutaka Shiraishi, Piano
After completing the graduate school at Tokyo University of the Arts, Shiraishi studied at the Juilliard School. He won Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition in 1990, and the Concerto Competion at Juilliard in 1991 which led him to his New York debut with the Juilliard Orchestra at Lincoln Center. In 1994 he won Kinoshita Prize at the Japan Music Competition as an accompanist of vocal section. He has an excellent reputation for various performances such as solo, chamber music, and concertos earning high trust from his co-performers all over the world. He has appeared in many broadcast medias such as NHK-BS and NHK-FM. Currently he teaches at Tokyo University of the Arts and Ochanomizu University. Recordings: "Mussorgsky-'Pictures at an Exhibition'" and more.
Yoshie Ueno, Flute
Ueno graduated from the undergraduate school with highest honors and Acanthus Award, and completed the graduate school at Tokyo University of the Arts. She achieved the first prize and the audience award of major music competitions such as Japan Music Competition, Tokyo Music Competition, and Japan Woodwind Competition. In addition to her numerous recitals, she performed with various orchestras around the world. She has also released 9 CDs from major labels such as Octavia Records. Moving to the United States in 2016, she gave performances including one at the Carnegie Hall in New York. Since autumn in 2017, she is based in Paris for further activities.
