Workshop Leader Skills Training Program

Having a partnership with overseas music institutions which are well-known for leading the state-of-the-art educational programs, we cultivate people who are able to share the joy of music with new approches to diverse people. Outstanding participants will have a chance to visit Casa da Música (Portugal) for attending the special training program!

About the program

Workshop leaders, who have the key role leading the participants of workshops, are required to have not only musical talents but also various abilities such as high communication or self-expression skills. Under the direction of workshop leaders from Casa da Música who are the international leading experts of this field, the program offers opportunities to create original workshops by groups which are going to be released to public based on the basic skill learnings. Therefore, the program is more practical than the normal lectures. We look forward to meeting you who are passionate to take a role to connect people with music in the society which is becoming more diverse than ever!

Learning the necessary skills for workshop leaders, create original workshops by grouping the participants which are going to be released to public.

Overseas training program

January-March 2019 
1 to 3 participants of A course chosen by directors will be sent to Casa da Música (Porto, Portugal) as trainees for one week.
*Travel and accommodation expenses are paid by Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

*Participants must pay any commuting expenses themselves to get to the venues including the workshop creation period.

*If the applicants exceeds the capacity, the new applicants will be prioritized.
*The workshops created during the program will be released as Tokyo Bunka Kaikan original workshops.
