About the Tokyo Music Competition Co-hosted by the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture), the Yomiuri Shimbun, the Kao Corporation, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the Tokyo Music Competition aims to discover and support gifted young musicians who show a potential to succeed as an independent artist in the future. Each year, our competitors have always amazed us with their remarkable talents. At the final competition, the competitors will perform concerts with an orchestra to prove their musical sense and techniques. The competitors of each category who show the most impressive performance will also receive the Audience Award, which is decided by the audience's vote. The final competition is followed by the announcement of the result and the awarding ceremony. We invite all of you to be part of the competition and share the excitement of discovering future talents.
